Before submitting footage, please check our criteria below:
Origination Formats that we accept:
- All broadcast quality formats, filmed using professional cameras, including:
- 70mm, 35mm and 16mm film (must be mastered to video or digital file)
- All true HD, XDcamHD, Digital betacam, DVCProHD, HDV, P2, etc digital files
- Lower end broadcast quality formats such as standard 16mm, DVCPro, Mini DV, Dvcam, Betacam sp only if the subject matter is of particular interest or rarity.
Delivery formats that we accept:
- HD D5, HDCam, HDCamSR
- Pal D1, Pal Digital betacam, Pal DV, Pal DVcam, Pal DVCPro, DVCPro 50
- 2K DPX 10 bit log 4:4:4 files
- A range of digital files, including Uncompressed Quicktime (preferably using the Component Compressor in Quicktime codec or the Blackmagic 8 bit codec), Uncompressed avi, Quicktime photo or motion jpeg, MPEG2 50i, DV avi, DV mov, MXF etc.
- Footage originated as sequential frames on digital stills cameras should be supplied as rendered movie files at full SD resolution and, if possible full HD 1920x1080 25fps, accompanied by a 168x126 jpeg thumbnail.
- Video masters on D5, HDCam, HDcamSR, Pal D1, DVCPro 50 must be accompanied by a matching digital betacam, betacam sp or DV master
Aspect ratio:
- Ideally, origination aspect ratio should be 16:9
- Ideally, delivery should be in a 16:9 FF aspect ratio.
If your technical specs meet with our criteria above, please send a showreel of your work on DVD, vhs, digi beta, mini DV or hard drive, along with the completed Producers Questionnaire. The questionnaire must be completed in full. We will not review your submission without it. The Questionnaire and Initial Submission Evaluation are available for download on the right side of this page.
